Honoring our Veterans: A Conversation with the Veterans Heritage Site Foundation

In honor of Veterans Day, join Knox Heritage and Marilyn J. Childress, the president of the Veterans Heritage Site Foundation (VHSF) on Wednesday, November 15th at 6:00pm and learn about efforts to honor our East Tennessee veterans. VHSF works to preserve veteran memorials in East Tennessee and shares the legacy of our local veterans. Childress will discuss VHSF outreach efforts along with Wreaths Across America, a nonprofit organization that distributes Veteran’s wreaths for placement on graves in military cemeteries. VHSF not only supports the three large veteran cemeteries in Knoxville, but also Revolutionary War Veteran graves and smaller cemeteries throughout East Tennessee. The program will also include information on the VHSF grave maintenance program.

This workshop is free to attend, but spots are limited.
