Treat yourself to a leisurely evening among the flowers, stone structures, and historic gardens of the Knoxville Botanical Gardens, previously known as the Howell Nursery from 1786 until 2003. Learn about the fascinating history of the land grant given to David Howell in 1783 and how his property evolved into the longest operating business in the state of Tennessee.
Tour the distinctive architectural features of the Howell home, discover the Secret Garden, and walk to the indoor Dogwood Center where a supper of savory grilled meats, fresh summertime salads, and desserts will await you.
