Summer Suppers – 2022 Summer Suppers
June 18, 2022 – Secret Architectural Gem at the Hugh Sanford House
Saturday, June 18th at 6:30 p.m.
72 guests | $150 per person
Sequoyah Hills | 3316 Kingston Pike
THE EXPERIENCE
Enjoy a romantic evening at the Hugh Sanford house, an architectural gem built in 1926, located behind First United Methodist on Kingston Pike. Designed by New York society architect Harrie T. Lindeberg, the 10,000 square foot English country home sits on 5.5 acres overlooking the Tennessee River. Because of careful stewardship by the church congregation, the house remains intact with outstanding architectural details – a 2-story entrance hall, intricate metal work, curved walls, six fireplaces, and many other features. Your evening will begin with tours of the house, wine and appetizers on the patio, and scrumptious dinner served in the covered pavilion above the river. Join us to experience a treasured piece of Knoxville history!

August 20, 2022 – From Gallows to Glamour: A History of Summit Hill at the Carpenter’s Building
Saturday, August 20th at 6:00 p.m.
75 guests | $150 per person
Downtown | 516 W. Vine Avenue
THE EXPERIENCE
Join Jack Neely on an interactive tour through the history of Summit Hill and the Carpenter’s Union Building! Did you know that until the 1840s it was the location for area hangings and that in around 1820, a doctor “revived” a recently hanged man in front of a large audience? Later, it was a location for the city’s glamourous and elite, then even later, the setting for a very busy dance hall. This Summer Supper is going to be full of interactive fun; from dramatic re-enactments to dancing demos and lessons. Come experience the Carpenter’s Union Building before its scheduled demolition in 2023! A meal of summer favorites, signature cocktails, and wine will make for some “spirited” conversation.
