What is the East Tennessee Preservation Alliance?

A: Thanks in large part to a Partners in the Field grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, funded by the Robert Wilson Charitable Trust, along with the generous local support of donors like the Cornerstone Foundation, the Ashe Family, the Chapman Family Foundation, the Haslam Family Foundation, and the Clayton Family Foundation Knox Heritage now assists surrounding counties. The new initiative, known as East Tennessee Preservation Alliance, serves sixteen counties (Anderson, Blount, Campbell, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Hamblen, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon, Monroe, Morgan, Roane, Scott, Sevier, and Union) around Knox County and will work with others as the need arises.  ETPA has a Board of Directors that represent all 16 counties.
