The Eugenia Williams house, a stately 1940s mansion on Lyons View Pike willed to the University of Tennessee in 1998, is included on Knox Heritage's 2010 Fragile Fifteen, a list of the most endangered properties in Knox County. Although Knox Heritage offered in February 2010 significant technical and financial assistance to stabilize the house, University officials rejected that offer, preferring to evaluate "all options."
Knox Heritage sent a follow-up letter to acting President Jan Simek on June 10, and the University responded shortly thereafter. The KH letter and UT's response are attached below as PDF documents.
