Come celebrate our nation’s independence a few days early at the Claypond Farm in Loudon County. During the early 1900s the roadway through Claypond Farm was the road to the ferry below Fort Loudon Dam. In those days, the road was the only access to this part of Loudon County. The original farmhouse, the former post office for the community, and a converted smokehouse remain on the site. From three-legged races to a twilight hayride, the summer evening on the farm will take you back to the days when Claypond Farm was the hub of activity in this part of Loudon County. Live music by local pianist, Slade Trammell, will serenade the gathering. Wear your Fourth of July best and come on out to the Fabulous Fourth on the Farm.
