240 E. Oklahoma Avenue
Located in the Old North Knoxville Historic District, was Knox Heritage's first rehabilitated house. The building was vacant, burned-out and had been abandoned for years, and before that, was three rental units. It was acquired by the city using the Homemakers Program. Knox Heritage, with assistance from the National Trust for Historic Preservation, restored and sold the house to a private owner. Before being restored, the house was an eyesore to the community and a financial drain on the city.

Having been restored by Knox Heritage's Vintage Homes Program, this charming Queen Anne cottage is an asset to the neighborhood. The city receives around $500 a year in property taxes. The house, now owner occupied, contributes to the the stability of the neighborhood.
